/// If you've ever take a cruise to the Bahamas you probably went through Nassau port, and Festival Place. Festival Place is a "local artist's mall" located on Prince George Dock where all the cruise ships dock.
Due to the odd coloring and lack of signage on the building, many tourists were bypassing Festival Place entirely without ever knowing what was inside. Because of this problem, we were given the task of creating some outdoor pieces that were to showcase the artist's wares that were for sale inside the building. These pieces became flags that would hang on the light poles that run the length of the pier and around the building. (Like the Bahamas logo flag pictured below.) And wall sized posters to hang on the front of the building.
After a week of shopping at Festival Place, we lugged a few dozen items and over twenty pounds of Bahamian sand back to Mark LaFavor's studio in NE Minneapolis for the shoot. Two weeks later we had some gorgeous photographs of the wonderful Bahamian craftsmanship for sale at Festival Place. It was a (successful) mad dash to get the media produced and in place before hurricane season, which would of delayed the instillation for months. ///
